    This prestigious prize is awarded each year at the annual Summer Conference to the young microbiologist (under 40!) who has made a substantial contribution to the science of applied microbiology. It is worth £3000!

    Congratulations go to Sagar Aryal and Dr Roy Sleator, winners of the SfAM Communications Award 2015 in the "Professional Communicator" and "Scientist" categories respectively. Sagar Aryal, who in his own words is a “Passionate Microbiologist and Scientific Blogger” and Dr Roy Sleator is a lecturer at the Department of Biological Sciences at the Cork Institute of Technology and former SfAM WH Pierce Winner.
