Who are we?

The Society of Applied Microbiology (SfAM) is the oldest microbiology society in the UK. Its object is to advance for the benefit of the public the science of microbiology in its application to the environment, human and animal health, agriculture and industry. With 1800 members in 80 countries we forge relationships between microbiologists worldwide to remain the voice of applied microbiology.
