Fin Twomey to speak at ECS Symposium - News & Features

The Early Career Scientists (ECS) 7th Annual Research Symposium in Birmingham is thrilled to announce Fin Twomey, Head of Animal Public Health at Defra as a keynote speaker.
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) is the government department responsible for environmental protection, food production and standards, agriculture, fisheries and rural communities in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Fin Twomey is a member of The Defra Antimicrobial Resistance Coordination (DARC) Group. DARC’s members coordinate, advise and reviews Defra activities on antimicrobial usage in animals and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in micro-organisms from feeding stuffs, animals and food.
The ECS Symposium will be held in March at the University of Birmingham. This meeting will have a focus on Epidemiology and Infection Control.
The symposium will bring together microbiologists, epidemiologists, public health researchers, academics, practitioners and most importantly, early career scientists and undergraduate students. This event is a forum to share ideas and research on all aspects of epidemiology and infection control.
