Published four times a year, in March, June, September and December, this professionally produced, 60 page full-colour magazine keeps our members up-to-date on all Society matters, provides detailed information on our Meetings and contains reports and feature articles on a wide variety of microbiological topics.
Members can download the current issue of Microbiologist simply by logging on and then following the link from this page. As a member you will also be able to access any previous edition of the magazine from the website archive. In addition, the Society has a budget to pay authors for their contributions - so if you are interested in writing for the magazine please contact the editor, Lucy Harper.

This issue on Wound Infections is now available to members and includes a fascinating article entitled: The evolving challenge of war wounds written by Surgeon Lieutenant Andrew Matheson, Major Emma Hutley and Group Captain Andrew Green. It explores the historical developments of managing wound infections in a combat situation and the current issues facing the British forces.
